Qualified field engineers and factory-trained certified technicians provide critical support for on-site snubber testing and plant maintenance. Equipped with state-of-the-art test equipment, our mobile test trailers feature a dual environment set-up with one side for functional testing, snubber work, and analysis of contaminated parts and the other for administrative work. We work on both large and small-bore snubbers and have expertise in both mechanical and hydraulic snubber refurbishment. Our team can remove, install a temporary replacement, and reinstall a snubber after refurbishing. We also supply snubber part kits for ongoing maintenance.
We also have a dedicated pipe support and hanger services team qualified in field inspection, destructive and non-destructive testing, and design and engineering. They provide refurbishment support services, systems analysis, and technical assistance for product installation and qualification. As part of our strategic support, ASC Engineered Solutions provides state-of-the-art severe service valve trim and repair services. We service all brands of severe service AOV and MOV valves used in fossil and nuclear power plants as well as in the oil & gas, paper, and chemical industry. Our expert services minimize downtime - we work during planned outages, and we are accustomed to the pressure of addressing urgent and emergency situations.
Our industry-leading valve repair and refurbishment team produce congruent OEM valve trim parts such as plugs, stems, cages, seats, bonnets, and guide bushings. With our 3D CAD and CMM measurement equipment, we can reproduce the geometry of any trim part, whether new, worn-out, or obsolete. Our expert manufacturing capabilities include precision CNC machining and grinding, hard surfacing, heat treating, and HVOF. We stock an abundance of mill-certified metals and alloys such as multiple grades of stainless steel, Inconel®, Hastelloy®, and tungsten-carbide. Various treatments, such as Stellite® overlay and ion-nitriding, give critical seated and wear areas extra protection against cavitation, abrasion, corrosion, noise & vibration, etc.
For obsolescence management, we leverage NRC and EPRI endorsed methods to provide aftermarket replacements for critical parts used in power generation, chemical, pulp & paper, food & beverage, pharma, and other industries. With our 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B quality program, high tech 3D scanning, expert machining, ASME Section IX welding, and surfacing technologies, we ensure parts meet or exceed their original specifications at a substantially reduced cost compared to OEM parts.
